What does a Music Unpacked session look like?

At Music Unpacked, we believe in giving all children the chance to encounter high-quality music making. Our model is designed to improve accessibility to all schools, regardless of their music budget. One of the expensive parts of hiring professional musicians is the fact that they need to travel to you and set up in an unknown space. At Music Unpacked, we have kept costs to a minimum with our pre-planned digital concerts, broadcast to your school via Microsoft Teams or your preferred platform.  When a school chooses one of our core digital packages, we can perform a set concert which aligns with the Model Music Curriculum, but can still interact with students via their interactive whiteboard to personalise the experience and ensure they never get bored! Whether we are broadcast to one class or the entire school, we always include creative activities, bespoke to each

Welcome to Music Unpacked!      Unpack the music curriculum with our creative, fun and energetic expert musicians.  Music Unpacked provides performance-based workshops delivered flexibly through interactive online sessions.   Musicians Cathy, Emma and Sarah came together during the pandemic lockdown of 2020 to create a brand-new way to deliver the music curriculum to UK primary schools. Using state of the art technology, provided thanks to a generous grant from the Royal Philharmonic Society and Harriet’s Trust, Music Unpacked offers interactive concerts and workshops to schools all over the UK.    COVID-19 saw a huge percentage of the world’s population suddenly ‘working-from-home’ - even those in industries who would never have imagined their job could be virtual! Throughout the pandemic, schools were using software like Microsoft Teams to come together in classes and assemblies, even when students were isolating at home. Musicians like ourselves were using livestreams to perform
